Drop-in bereavement cafe
On the last Thursday of the month we hold a free drop-in group called Budleigh Friends and all are welcome. There is no need to book.
Budleigh Friends is a support group aimed at everyone experiencing bereavement or grief and looking to chat through the difficult times.
Bereavement affects everyone differently and no two losses are the same.
If you are:
- Looking to meet other people socially and just chat
- Finding it difficult following the loss of a loved one
- Want practical help such as how to deal with admin and estates
- Are facing death soon and want to know how to plan ahead
- Want signposting to other specialist services and free counselling
Then feel free to drop in. Refreshments are free. The next dates are as follows:
26th May 2022 – 11am – 1pm – Gingerbread Cafe, Budleigh
30th June 2022 – 11am – 1pm – Gingerbread Cafe, Budleigh
25th July 2022 – 11am – 1pm – Gingerbread Cafe, Budleigh
We are grateful for Chris and the Gingerbread team for helping host these events and supporting local businesses.
St Peter’s Church
Located immediately behind our office and chapel of rest St Peters is part of the Raleigh Mission Community. It is made up of three churches in three parishes and comprises of All Saints’, East Budleigh, St Michael & All Angels, Otterton, and St Peter’s, Budleigh Salterton.
Set in glorious and unspoilt East Devon, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the parishes in the Raleigh Mission Community extend from the Jurassic Coast along both banks of the River Otter to the southern edge of Woodbury Common and its pebblebed heathlands. Our church buildings bear witness to an unbroken tradition of Christian witness and care for the local communities and their people from pre-Saxon times.
